I am an experienced university guidance expert

I began supporting university applicants as a History Teacher and Deputy Head of Sixth Form at Chancellor's School, here in the UK. As UCAS Lead, I supported students through every aspect of the university application process. In that role I saw firsthand the challenges students faced in making competitive applications and in successfully making the transition to university, and this inspired me to become an expert in UK admissions.

For the past 11 years I have worked as Outreach Manager in the Student Recruitment & Admissions Department at the University of Bath. Working alongside admissions staff at this elite university has given me unique insights into the admissions process and what top universities seek in applicants.

I understand the challenges of moving away from home and starting life in the unknown

I was the first in my family to go to university and it was a big leap into the unknown. Moving away from home and into a new environment has its challenges but these in themselves can be transformative, positive and exciting if managed well. 

Additionally, my international experience, including living and teaching abroad in Japan, Spain, and Namibia, has given me insight into the adjustments international students face when transitioning to another country. I understand the academic and cultural challenges people encounter when starting life and study in a new country.

To help with preparing and transitioning to life at university I provide specific pre-departure information and guidance and ongoing support once on the course.

My experience has given me a very high level of professional understanding and skill that I bring to bear through my resources and coaching to ensure all my clients receive the best support they can get.
